Abstract

Se is a toxic element of high mobility in the environment. Fe hydroxide oxides might play an important role in the migration. This review is aimed at the study of Se(IV) and Se(VI) sorption on Fe oxide hydroxide. The sorption of Se increases with pH increasing from 3.0 to 5.0. The sorption was fitted with Langmuir isotherms. The sorption behaviour was explained using a pseudo-first and pseudo-second order model. The latter model fitted the data best.
