On the Beginnings of the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, AS CR

Abstrakt

The organization of fundamental research in the field of macromolecular chemistry outside universities in former Czechoslovakia is outlined for the period after Second World War. The pitfalls on the route to establishing the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Prague, the well known centre of macromolecular science, are described.
