Peer Review Policy

Before the review process, all manuscripts are first screened by the editorial office to determine their general suitability for the journal. Submissions found unsuitable (style, length, topic, lack of originality) are rejected at this stage.

The journal has a policy of Anonymous Peer Review. Suitable reviewers are selected by the editorial board to ensure that there is no conflict of interest.

Reviewers take into account the following issues:

  • the originality of the paper
  • contribution to the field
  • appropriateness of the methodology
  • adequate presentation of results
  • correctness of conclusions
  • correct and exhaustive response to previous reviewers' comments
  • compliance with ethical issues
  • correct academic style and adequate language

The reviewers' recommendations are sent to the corresponding author as soon as the reviews are available. Depending on the nature of the changes, a revised version of the manuscript may be sent back to the reviewers for further suggestions and approval. The final decision to accept or reject the paper rests with the editor-in-chief or the handling editor. After acceptance of the final version, proofs are sent to the corresponding author, and each article awaits completion of the current issue or any later issue for which the article may be deemed suitable.

The review process can take 4–6 weeks depending on the availability of reviewers. Average number of weeks between article submission and publication is usualy 16.
