Abstract

A manometric apparatus for measuring sorption of excess carbon dioxide is presented. Applicability of the apparatus is demonstrated by the measurement of bitumenous coal from Upper Silesian basin. The measured excess sorption maximum was 0.95 mmol g–1 at 7 MPa, which is in a good agreement with the values reported in literature.
