Abstract

Procedures for preparation of immobilized photocatalytic layers on various technical surfaces, stable in aqueous solutions, were developed and optimized. The degradation efficiency of the layers was tested with organic dyestuffs and other pollutants, such as caramel dyes, herbicides, toluene, and hydroponics solutions. Laboratory equipment for testing photocatalytic processes, possibly in combination with membrane separation, was developed. Basic chemical-engineering data for photocatalytic as well as membrane separation - photocatalytic processes were obtained and evaluated for technological applications.
