Abstract

The aim of this contribution is to review trends, demands, criteria, possibilities and limitations in the identification of hazard associated with chemical compounds and chemical preparations and to outline the legislation and alternative methods in testing toxicity of chemicals, in particular QSAR methods and models and their use for regulatory purposes.
