Application of High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography and a Flatbed Scanner for the Quantitation of Cometabolites of Antibiotic Salinomycin
Abstract
A computer-driven office scanner has been used as a densitometer for the quantitation of analytes after separation by HPTLC. This densitometry is based on measuring the intensity of pixels covering the spots using a home-made program. This methodology has been successfully applied in the HPTLC determination of derivatives of the polyether antibiotic salinomycin in fermentation broths and animal feed preparations.Downloads
