Abstract
Description and discussion of the situation in the European Union and the Czech Republic relating to the use, emissions and impact on the environment and human health of mercury and its compounds. Problems with surplus mercury as the consequences of the mercury cell phase-out and old contaminated sites. Voluntary agreements between polluters in the Czech Republic and the responsible environmental organisations. Information on the status of the legislation of the Czech Republic harmonisation with that of the European Community.Downloads
