The Negative Effect of Xenobiotics in Human Organism and Methods for Its Testing
Abstract
The need for testing of new pharmaceuticals and other newly developed compounds is connected with their potential hazardous effect in human organism. Toxicity of xenobiotics can be tested by various methods including both in vitro and animal models. The goal of this review is to bring an overview of various types of available techniques for evaluation of toxicity and carcinogenicity of chemical compounds. The scope and limitations of several model systems are discussed.Downloads
