Preparation of a System for Monitoring Stationary Flows of Selected Compounds from the Production Sites and Operational Premises into the Environment

Abstract

The review article explains the aims and methods of a system for monitoring and evaluating permanent sources of selected chemical substances entering the environment. The system internationally denoted as PRTR is oriented towards stationary ( point-like and immovable) sources. In a number of countries the system represents an active element of management of chemical substances and simultaneouly a tool for fulfilling the rights of the citizen on information about the environmental situation.
