Abstract

The influence of motor vehicle exhausts on the environment and human health is briefly reviewed with special emphasis on carbon (mon)oxide, nitrogen oxides, ozone , sulphur dioxide, lead, volatile organic substances, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and nitrated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
