Abstract

The determination of long-lived fission products of uranium by radiometric methods is declining due to improving mass spectrometric methods. Both methods have advantages and drawbacks, and factors such as analyte concentration in the sample, specific activity, presence of interferents in the sample etc. should be considered in the assay. The aim of this work is to summarize currently used radiometric and mass spectrometric methods for the determination long-lived fission products of uranium.
