Abstract

The lateral elemental mapping of surface-corroded Ni-based structural materials for nuclear reactors has been performed by the title method. Corrosion by molten fluorides was investigated at variable times of exposition and elevated temperatures. Test specimens were embedded in resin disks, polished and ablated using the raster mode. Changes in element contents in surface layers to the depth 50 μm were observed.
