History and Significance of Chiral Analysis of Amino Acids in Biological Matrices and Environment
Abstract
The review deals with the history and significance of chiral analysis of amino acids in physiological matrices, food and environment including the outer space since the 1930´s. The review discusses the importance of D-amino acids for formation and differentiation of cells or tissues, for biological and geological dating and the origin of life on Earth and diagnostical value of D-amino acids in food control and clinical biochemistry.Downloads
