Abstract

The article informs about the possibilities of using Internet (www, ftp and e-mail) as a teaching medium in chemistry education. Making use of the www service, the chemistry teacher can obtain texts and instructions how to perform chemical experiments, chemistry software, information on activities which are still in preparation and articles from chemistry journals. Communication with the other colleagues as well as the checking of students can be carried out by e-mail. Specific problems are discussed in discussion groups, in Slovakia in ICHEM clubs. The ftp service enables obtaining instruction programmes, working sheets, figures, etc.
